Thought of the Day: June 21, 2018 – Spiritual Ownership
Taking spiritual ownership means you understand the power of the word and how you use it. Too many people use the word to manipulate others to their will
Spiritual ownership means you are aware, mindful and enlightened to the needs of others.
When you take ownership of your spiritual life, you do not let others influence your decisions if you understand the principles you stand for.
Take control of your life and make better decision for today and for the future. You will have less stress because you know the decision you’re making comes from a foundation of principles that was outlined by the word of God.
You make the right decisions based on your morals and understand and then leave the rest in the hands of God or the universe.
Each day we face many hard decisions. Each choice you make will have a chain reaction you may not understand. The best thing you can do consult your religious book. Once you have considered all the possibilities, make the best choice. Then know the rest is up to God.
I will not tell you to go to church or take your kids. You will have to decide that for yourself.
I know many people who do and don’t go to church. Their lives are no better or no worse than those who do.
Going to church can bring community, direction, clarity of mind and thoughts. As well it can ground you in positive moral believes. But staying at home with family and reading the word and discussing it together can do the same thing.
Taking spiritual ownership means is about know what your five senses experience. Today social media and television bombard you with negative.
Without even realizing it you can be watching a television show and they might be talking about topics, showing images or using language you do not want your family to experience.
What you do next is up to you. Do you continue to watch, change the channel or send your kids out of the room. If the images do not line up with your faith or beliefs you can choose whatever you want based on how you want to take spiritual ownership.
Think about joining a community of people who get together and talk and discuss the word. Learn how to apply the principles to your life. Discuss the meaning of the principles with your spouse or children. Each person has an opportunity to grow from this experience.
When you take spiritual ownership you learn what you believe in and what you stand for. This becomes the foundation you build your life on.
My dad once said to me, “I can bend in my beliefs but I cannot break them”.
At that time I did not understand what he was talking about. But when listen to what he said with a spiritual ear, I finally understood. He was taking ownership of what he believed in.
Stand for something and be true to what you believe in.
