Thought of the Day: January 23, 2018 – Mantra
If you practice meditation, you may have a mantra that you repeat when you meditate, walk or sit.
A mantra is a way for you to connect your conscious mind to your subconscious thoughts. It is a reminder to do something, be something and not be something.
Your mantra should be personal to you and encourage personal growth, relaxation, peace of mind and unity within. This unity connects the body, soul and spirit to each other.
The mantra can be one you make up and repeat to yourself. It can be given to you from a spiritual teacher, coach or guru.
The words I repeat, when I am meditating, to bring my attention back to the present moment is, “This Moment is Meditation” or “Every Moment is Meditation.”
All too often it is easy to let the mind wonder and focus on something else. The past is forever gone and the future has event that have not taken place.
I use these powerful statements to focus, stay in the present moment and remember that the past and future have no influence on me. I am in the present moment and must live in the now. Honestly there really no other moment but now.
What words or statements do you use to guide you when you need a clear direction on your journey…
