Thought of the Day: April 30, 2018 – How You Got to This Point
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired and wondering how you got to this point in life?
Don’t worry you are not alone.
There are millions of people who can relate to how you feel. We have all been there. You go through life doing the same old thing. All of a sudden your forty, or insert your age, and wonder is this all there is to life?
Get up before sunrise. Skip breakfast. Drive in traffic risking a ticket or worse an accident as you drive under the influence of distractions, such as your phone and thoughts. You work from 7:00am to 5:00pm, going to a place you do not want to go to, to impress people we really do not want to work with or for. Then you only take a 30 minute lunch while you work at our desk. Got back home while sitting in traffic once again. Make dinner. Have a meaningless conversation with your loved ones. Sit in front of the computer or television for a few hours. Then go to bed, just to do it again the next day!
Just reading that is making some of you mad and I don’t blame you.
Why do we do this?
I think we do this for two days off a week and a paycheque that is not moving us in the direction we want to go.
Most people today are live a life of quiet desperation and go to their grave with a song still in them. I’m not sure who said it but I did read the quote somewhere. What happens over time is unfortunate. Our family life begins to suffer, our business or work suffers, we spend more money than we make and we try to keep the faith everything will work out for us.
My goal is to help you find that song within you and hear you sing it loud. Then hope you write a new one.
I challenge you to focus on learning the things that will change your thought process and help you move in the direction you have always wanted to go, but may not have known how to do.
I hope you will take a look within and ask yourself , how you got to this point. Take a look at family, your work or business, personal finances and your spiritual life. It’s ok if you don’t have a spiritual life. A spiritual life is not about God but connecting to a higher power in the universe. The Law of Attraction for some.
Realize how you think and the decisions you make will impact your future and future choices. Every decision will positively or negatively affect all the other parts of our life.
What I’m suggesting is you and I need to take control of our life if we are not happy doing what we are doing in life this moment. I believe you need to have more of a say in what you want out of life. You need to create time and space to enjoy the things you want to.
Now that you know have a better understanding of what you want and how you go to this point, how will you change your life?
