Thought of the day: January 1, 2018 – Breathing
From the moment we are born to the moment we pass, we are breathing in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. In meditation your breath is important. It helps you focus so your thoughts do not wander.
You can simply connect to your thought by focusing on the in and out breath.
During your concentrated breathing it is important to understand why certain thoughts come to you and others don’t.
Do not focus on negative thoughts. Do not give them life with your breathing. Focus on the positive breath to keep away negative thoughts that don’t serve you.
I believe it is important for you to figure out why certain negative thoughts come to you. This way you can rid yourself of them if they do not serve you.
The good part it is easy to spot those thoughts the bad thing is those thoughts are coming to you each day. Sometimes hundreds of times a day.
Through breathing you can become loving awareness and have unconditional love for all. You can also increase oxygen, relax, reduce stress and connect to the stillness inside you. So many amazing things occur when you focus on clearing negative from the mind through breath.
Take a deep breath in. Release the in breath out slowly. Can you feel your body relax as you begin to reap all the benefits of simple breathing?
